Mother’s Day is a traditional holiday that was made official in 1914 by President Woodrow Wilson. According to Wikipedia Mothers Day, has an interesting evolution starting in 1905. The day was originally started by Ann Jarvis in commemoration of her mother that greatly influenced her life and nursed wounded soldiers from the North and South during the Civil War. Ann’s goal was to honor all moms who have influenced the lives of their children with hand written notes of appreciation.
